Dr Saskia Osendarp is the Executive Director of the Micronutrient Forum. She has more than 25 years’ experience in international nutrition research, in both public and private sectors. She is a visiting associate professor of Nutrition and Health at Wageningen University.

Dr Osendarp worked for seven years at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh. For ten years prior to this, she was lead scientist in micronutrients and child nutrition at Unilever, responsible for Unilever’s research into child nutrition, micronutrients and fortified foods. 

Since 2012 Ms Osendarp has been an independent consultant for international NGOs, academia and research institutes. She is also the founder and former co-chair of the Netherlands Working Group on International Nutrition, a multi-sectoral working group which promotes the inclusion of nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive approaches in evidence-informed policies and strategies.

Ms Osendarp has authored and co-authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and chapters of books.
