Florencia Vasta is a Senior Associate for Food Policy & Finance at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN). She foccuses on global Industrial Fortification programmes.

Previous to GAIN, she worked at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as a Programme Officer for Nutrition, in the Global Development Division. 

​

For more than a decade, Ms Vasta’s work has spanned diverse roles in both upstream and downstream international public health research at universities, NGOs, and the donor community, with a focus on countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

She is committed to the use of evidence-based solutions to global nutrition challenges and the development of strategic partnerships to achieve global health commitments.

Ms Vasta holds a Master’s in International Health, Human Nutrition from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
