Darrel Sexstone                                                                                       Rural Development and Food Security and Nutrition Programme Manager, EUD The Gambia

Darrell Sexstone has worked for 30 years in international development aid. 

He started his career in the early 1990s working for ECHO as a Desk Officer for the Horn of Africa in Brussels. He then worked as an ECHO field representative, becoming the ECHO field coordinator during the Rwandan genocide in 1994. 

He has since worked for the EU Delegation in Kiribata as an advisor to the National Authorising Office of the European Development Fund; for the Delegation in Suriname as an Economic Advisor; and for the Delegation in Haiti as a Food Security Programme Manager.

Mr Sexstone currently works for the Delegation in The Gambia as Rural Development and Food Security and Nutrition Programme Manager.
